Evolving into a cloud workflow system that takes automation and efficiency one step further for everyone at work

Tsukuba, Ibaraki — VeBuIn (Head Office: Tsukuba, Ibaraki; President and Representative Director: Bhavik Shah) announces that, effective today, the name of its cloud workflow system "SmartFlow" has been changed to "Jugaad."

From Friday, June 7, 2024 onward, the service website will be redirected to the new site in stages. The service domain will not change, and the same URL can continue to be used.

Background to the service name change

Jugaad is a no-code, cloud-based workflow system that anyone can use easily. It streamlines internal approval, application, and authorization processes and makes operations visible. A smartphone app is also available, and the system can be integrated easily with external services such as groupware to support more advanced application and approval processes. Intended to improve the working environment for everyone through digital transformation, it is a trusted business-improvement platform already adopted by more than 3,000 companies.

Many companies now face a growing number of requirements for legal compliance, making the procedures needed to ensure compliance more complex. Japan's declining birthrate and aging population have also created a labor-market environment in which smooth recruitment is more difficult than before. In these circumstances, Jugaad seeks to contribute to customer companies' operational efficiency, automation, and compliance by thoroughly understanding Japanese legal requirements and basic business processes while actively using advanced IT technologies such as AI.

Against this background, we decided to change the service name to Jugaad as our brand moves to a new stage.

Our thinking behind the new name "Jugaad(Jugaad)"

Jugaad is a widely used word in India meaning "solving a problem through ingenuity and resourcefulness even when funds and resources are limited." Although our product entered the workflow and expense management system market later than others, we intend to carry this spirit forward by continually expanding and improving its features and always offering the best solution to each customer's challenges.
